Waiver & Registration
1. Services
1.1 - I, the undersigned client, authorise Catriona’s Pet Services to provide pet care services as agreed.
2. Health & Safety
2.1 - I confirm my pet(s) are in good health; are microchipped; and that vaccinations, flea, and worming treatments are up to date; and have no known behavioural issues that could cause harm to others or themselves.
2.2 - I will disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements prior to any service.
2.3 - The client confirms their pet has not shown aggression or dangerous behaviour. If such behaviour occurs, the provider reserves the right to refuse or terminate services immediately.
2.4 - In extreme weather (e.g., heat, storms, ice), the provider may shorten or alter walks in the pet’s best interest while charging the full rate.
3. Emergencies & Veterinary Care
3.1 - In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, I authorise Catriona’s Pet Services to seek veterinary attention for my pet(s) at the nearest available vet, or veterinary practice that my pet is registered with.
3.2 - While every reasonable precaution is taken, the provider cannot be held liable for injury, loss, or death of a pet, except in cases of proven negligence.
3.3 - I agree that all veterinary fees, transport costs, and related expenses are my responsibility and will be reimbursed promptly.
3.4 - Every effort will be made to contact me or my emergency contact before treatment, unless immediate care is required.
4. Liability
4.1 - While every effort is made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pets, I understand that animals are unpredictable and accidents may occur.
4.2 - I release Catriona’s Pet Services from any liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage to my pet(s) or property, except in cases of negligence.
5. Photos & Social Media
5.1 - I give permission for photos or videos of my pet(s) taken during services to be used for business promotion, including on the website and social media, unless the client opts out in writing.
6. Payment & Cancellations
6.1 - A 50% deposit is due upon booking confirmation to secure your pet’s place. For Dog Walking, Pet Sits & Day Sits the remaining balance is due by the day of the service.
For the Wedding Chaperone service, the remaining balance is due within 10 days after the ceremony. Any footage recorded will not be released until payment has been made in full.
6.2 - Please give at least three days notice for cancellations of Dog Walking, Pet Sits & Day Sits. If notice is received less than three days before the booked service, the deposit will be retained to cover preparation and scheduling.
6.3 - For Wedding Chaperone Service If you cancel within three months of your booked wedding date, the deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than three months in advance, I will refund your deposit less a £45 administrative fee and any mileage costs already incurred, to cover the time and preparation already invested.
6.4 - Unforeseen Events (Force Majeure): In cases beyond anyone’s control — such as government lockdowns, pandemics, extreme weather, or national emergencies — the standard cancellation terms above (6.2–6.3) will not apply. Instead, a 25% booking fee will be retained to cover reserved time, admin, and loss of income for all services. Wherever possible, bookings may be postponed to a later date once normal services resume.
6.5 - In the unlikely event that I need to cancel, your deposit will be fully refunded. While every reasonable effort will be made to provide scheduled services, Catriona’s Pet Services may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be notified as soon as possible, and alternative arrangements will be offered where possible.
7.Keys & Access
7.1 - Any keys or access codes provided will be securely stored and used solely for the purpose of carrying out agreed services.
8. Data Protection & Privacy
8.1 – I consent to Catriona’s Pet Services collecting and securely storing personal information necessary to provide services, including my name, address, contact details, and information about my pet(s).
8.2 – My information will only be used for the purposes of providing services, managing bookings, and maintaining records, and will not be shared with third parties without my consent.
8.3 – I understand that I can request access to, correction of, or deletion of my personal data at any time.
9. Agreement
9.1- I have read and understood the above terms and consent to pet care being provided in accordance with this agreement.
